Main View
The main view allows you to calculate the projected finish time for a run at the selected distance, at the pace you specify.
The text label at the top of the screen ("10 kilometers" in the example) shows your selected distance--we'll see how to change that in a moment.
Below that is the pace wheel: Use this to specify any pace time up to 59 minutes, 59 seconds, per mile or kilometer.
At the bottom of the view you'll see the expected finish time for the total distance, given the pace you set.
So how to specify your run distance? Back up at the top of the view, you'll see the circular "information" icon--tapping that brings up the next screen: the "Select Distance" view.
The "Select Distance" view allows you to set the distance used in the main view.
To select a distance, simply tap it--it will highlight briefly and then a check mark will appear to the right of the name (in the picture, "10 kilometers" was selected). When you've made your choice, tap the "Done" button in the upper left of the screen to return to the main view.
There are two groups of selectable distances: "built-in" and "custom" distances. The four built-in distances, 5 and 10 kilometers, half-marathon, and marathon, are always present. The custom distance section consists of up to 25 distances you define.
Custom distances consist of a distance and an optional name: as an example, we have entered the 12k "Bay to Breakers" run. The name appears above the distance on this screen, and will be shown at the top of the Main View. If you don't provide a name, the distance will be used instead.
To add a custom distance, tap the "Add Custom" item at the bottom of the distance list.
To delete a custom distance, or rearrange the list, tap the "Edit" button in the upper right of the screen.
The Add Custom Distance view provides a way for you to define your own distances. Custom distances can be any distance up to 500 kilometers or 500 miles, and you can name the distance--the name will be shown at the top of the main view.
When you're defining distances, keep in mind:
The "Edit" view allows you to delete and rearrange your custom distances.
To rearrange your distances, tap and drag on the "move" icons in the rightmost column of the list.
To delete a distance, tap the red "delete" circle in the leftmost column. A rectangular "Delete" button will appear on the right (as with the "Gate River Run" in the example). To cancel the deletion, tap again on the red circle, or tap the "Done" button in the upper left. To confirm your deletion, tap the rectangular "delete" button.
When you are finished making changes, tap the "Done" button in the upper left of the screen.
Note: if you delete the distance which is currently active (i.e., currently checked in the "Select Distance" view), the selection will move to the 5 kilometer distance.
